Supersonic trainer/attacker T-50 performs well in test flight

The Air Force announced Tuesday a successful test flight of its T-50 trainer model developed and manufactured under a joint program with Korea Aerospace Industries. The announcement said the nation's first supersonic advanced trainer/light attacker, named Golden Eagle, performed well in the 40-minute test flight conducted at an air base in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province, Tuesday afternoon. Equipped with a state-of-the-art digital flight control system and F404-GE-102 engine, the trainer will be used to train pilots of F-15, F-16, F-22 and other state-of-the-art fighters.
