FM: Resumption of 6-Party Talks Would Help Resolve Nuke Issue

Foreign Minister Kim Sung-hwan says South Korea will seek a comprehensive solution to all of North Korea’s nuclear programs if the six-party denuclearization talks are resumed.

Kim made the remark in an address Thursday, adding that North Korea has given rise to serious concerns in South Korea and the rest of the international community by revealing uranium enrichment facilities.

Kim said that Seoul is outraged by North Korea’s Tuesday attack on Yeonpyeong Island, which included indiscriminate firing on civilian residential areas. He said that South Korea will respond resolutely.
