The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry said Thursday Korea was elected chair country of the Agricultural Technical Cooperation Working Group (ATCWG) of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) at the recently completed APEC executives' meeting in Mexico. Korea will serve as chair country for a three year term to 2005 and Oh Sae-ik, senior researcher at the Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI), was recommended to take the chair post.
