DM: No Unusual Moves by NK Detected in DMZ

The Defense Ministry says no unusual moves by North Korea have been detected in the Demilitarized Zone amid a heightened watch for additional provocations by the communist country.

The ministry said Tuesday that North Korea is continuing to aim its coastal artillery at South Korea and that five MiG-23 fighter jets have been kept at a base in Hwangju since November 23rd.

South Korea has put the military on its highest alert, having all commanders on standby and soldiers’ travel restricted.
