South Korean president Kim Dae-jung said Thursday that humankind ought to pool its wisdom to resolve the issue of poverty since it is the root cause of all human tragedy. President Kim made the remarks in an opening ceremony of a commemorative exhibition ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of institutionalizing the Nobel prize held in Seoul. Kim stressed that the two Koreas must walk together on the way to peace and reconciliation while solidifying a firm defense posture.
