World Summit on Sustainable Development, the largest-ever in scale on protecting the world's environment, started in Johannesburg, South Africa Monday for 10 days. Participants in the earth summit meeting including the representatives from each country, environmental activists and economic leaders, have pledged that this summit may really translate all issues into actions, not just leaving them as mere rhetoric. The main agenda include eliminating poverty, supplying clear water, securing health benefit, and sustained development of energy resources for the ever-increasing world's population. Before closing the summit, they will proclaim the Earth Summit Declaration containing their will to carry out the agreed points.
