LA Critics Name S.Korea's Kim Hye-Ja Best Actress

South Korean actress Kim Hye-ja has received the Los Angeles Film Critics Association’s award for best actress for her role in the movie “Mother.”

The film, directed by Bong Joon-ho, also finished as the runner-up for the Best Foreign-Language Film Award, which went to Olivier Assayas’ “Carlos.”

The Best Picture Award went to “The Social Network,” and Colin Firth won the Best Actor Award for his role in “The King’s Speech.”
