The two Koreas will march together at Asiad's opening and closing ceremonies

Officials said Wednesday South and North Korea have agreed their athletes should march together at the opening and closing ceremonies of the upcoming Asian Games in Busan. Officials said South Korea has also agreed to allow North Korean supporters to display the North's national flag during the games. The agreements were reached during three days of talks between working-level officials from the two Koreas to coordinate details of the North's participation in the 14th Asian Games to be held Sept. 29th to Oct. 14th. Athletes from the two countries will enter the opening and closing ceremonies together behind the "Korean Peninsula flag" as they did in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. The North also agreed to light a sacred torch for the Asiad at Mount Paekdu on Sept. 5th and hand it over to the organizing committee at Mount Geumgang the following day.
