The heads of the nation's six major religions have visited the Vatican to meet with Pope Benedict 16th.

Representatives of the Korean Council of Religious Leaders --- which include the heads of the Christian Council of Korea, the Catholic Church, the Buddhist Jogye Order, the Won Buddhist sect, the Sungkyunkwan School of Confucianism and the indigenous Chondogyo religion --- visited the Vatican on Wednesday afternoon, local time.

The Korean religious leaders launched on December ninth trips to Israel and other Christian holy sites as part of a pilgrimage to sacred places of other religions.
