Girls Generation has been named this year's singer in a poll for the second straight year.

According to Korea Gallop's poll on about 34-hundred people aged 13 years or older, 31 percent picked Girls Generation as their favorite singer or group.

The girl group won the most support from various age groups, ranging from teenagers to those in their 50s.

2AM ranked second, followed by Jang Yoon-jeong, Tae Jina and Kara.

Miss A and Heo Gak were picked as this year's best new stars.
