Cardinal Nicholas Cheong Jin-suk has called for efforts to seek a community made up of individuals with the wisdom to accept differences in others.

In his New Year message on Thursday, Cheong said that the nation endured many hardships and difficulties this year, adding true happiness lies in living in peace and harmony with others.

To that end, the cardinal called on the people to become more open as those who understand and accept those who are different from themselves are people with wisdom.
