Christmas Services Held Throughout Korea

Churches across the nation are holding special services to mark Christmas day.

Archbishop of Seoul, Cardinal Cheong Jin-suk, celebrated midnight Christmas Mass at Myeongdong Cathedral in central Seoul.

In his Christmas message, the cardinal wished that this year’s Christmas would bring hope and consolation to people in need. He called on political leaders to listen to people who face discrimination and unfairness.

The National Council of Churches in Korea (KNCC) wished in its Christmas message that Christ’s peace would be with Korean society.

Other churches nationwide have opened Christmas prayer sessions and are holding multiple Christmas services throughout the day.
