Typhoon Rusa penetrated through the Korean Peninsula

Typhoon Rusa penetrated the center of the Korean Peninsula late Saturday hitting hardest the Gangwon Province early Sunday, causing severe property damages and human losses and suspend air and sea routes and roads and railways across the Korean Peninsula.
According to the tentative tally released by the National Disaster Prevention and Countermeasure Headquarters, 13 people died and 11 were missing, and 9,000 houses were put under water across the nation as of 9 am Sunday morning.
The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said Sunday that Rusa, the fifth typhoon spawned in the western Pacific this summer, hit Gangwon Province early Sunday and is expected to move northeast to the East Sea late Sunday afternoon.
