'5 NK Soldiers Died During Artillery Attack'

Five North Korean soldiers reportedly died during South Korea’s counterattack to North Korea’s artillery barrage on the South’s Yeonpyeong Island on November 23rd.

Seoul-based Open Radio for North Korea quoted a source in the North as saying Tuesday that Pyongyang has been making the claim during lectures at its military bases since last week.

According to the report, the five soldiers were bestowed with the title of “hero” under orders from North Korean leader Kim Jong-il’s youngest son and heir apparent Kim Jong-un.

Open Radio for North Korea broadcasts programming for listeners in the North.
