South and North Korea agreed to exchange lists of 100 people Thursday indicating who will participate in the fifth round of reunions of separated families that the two sides agreed to hold ahead of the Chusok, or harvest holiday on the 21st of this month. The two sides had originally planned to exchange the lists on Sept. 7, but moved up the schedule at the request of the North. On Aug. 24, the South and the North exchanged the preliminary lists of 200 and 120 candidates, respectively, for confirmation of whether their relatives on the other side of the border are available for reunions.
