Foreign Minister Delivers Key-note Address at Johannesburg Summit

Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Che/ Sung-hong said Monday that Globalization may give a host of countries a chance to develop their economy, but it widens the disparity in incomes and information between them. At a key-note address of the World Summit on Sustainable Development which kicked off Monday in Johannesburg, South Africa, Che/ stressed South Korea has offered 387 million US $ in loans to 15 countries to help them set up information technology infrastructures in an attempt to ease the possible economic gap. He also called on participating nations to help South Korea attract the 2010 Expo to their southern port city of Yeosu.
