A Korean cultural center will open in the Austrian capital of Vienna at the end of the year.

An association of South Koreans residing in Austria held a ceremony on Tuesday, with South Korea’s Ambassador to Austria Shim Yoon-joe attending, to mark the building of the center.

The center will be located in a remodeled, four-floor, city-owned building that was erected in 1907.

The center will provide education programs for Koreans residing in Austria, including language classes and classes for seniors and kindergartners.

The center is also expected to serve as a venue for local citizens to learn more about South Korea and its culture.
