Gov't dismisses foreign report on issue of East Sea Name

The government Thursday dismissed a Russian press report that an ongoing U.N. conference on determining geographical names did not discuss the waters between Korea and Japan. The Voice of Russia (VOR) report said the U.N. Conference on the Standardization of Geographical Names (UNCSGN) in Berlin excluded the issue from its agenda and asked parties involved to resolve the matter outside the conference room.
