'NK Holds Key to Restoring Inter-Korean Talks'

Unification Minister Hyun In-taek says that now is the time for North Korea to present its position on inter-Korean talks.

Hyun made the remarks to reporters after attending a meeting on Tuesday, saying that the government has no plans to take any action for now, as it has already clarified its stance on the matter.

He said that if the North wants to restore inter-Korean talks, it must first apologize for the sinking of the South’s “Cheonan” naval vessel in March of last year and must also promise to denuclearize.

Hyun dismissed proposals for a full resumption of inter-Korean talks made by North Korea earlier in the month as insincere.
