A South Korean government official says there are no signs that North Korea is preparing to conduct another missile launch.
The remark comes after multiple news outlets, including Voice of America, reported that the North has completed a launch tower at its second missile launch facility.
The official said that should North Korea be preparing to test a long-range missile, unusual movements would be detected. The official noted, however, that no such moves have been spotted.
Meanwhile, South Korean intelligence authorities say they are continuing to keep a close eye on North Korea, as they believe that the communist country might pursue new provocations amid icy inter-Korean relations.
Previously, Voice of America reported that North Korea appears to have completed a launch tower at its second missile launch facility near the North Korea-China border. They said that a large-scale launch pad is located next to the 30-meter launch tower.
