More than 40-thousand people visited an English blog introducing Korean culture that the South Korean government began running at the end of last month.

The blog is operated by the Korean Culture and Information Service, an affiliate of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Visitors to the blog were from a variety of countries including the U.S., Germany and Southeast Asian nations. Their professions ranged from teachers to actors.

Forty-two bloggers selected by the end of December by the visitors will serve as Korean culture promoters. They will introduce events on Korean culture overseas.
