'Education Policy Aims to Foster Global Talents'

Education Minister Lee Joo-ho says the government’s education policy aims to reform the education system that focuses only on college entrance exams and to foster global talents.

The minister on Tuesday made the remarks at a presentation on the government’s education policy at a high school in Seoul.

The minister said that it is doubtful that students who only focus on their academic performance for three years during high school will become globally competitive talents.

Lee said that the newly implemented admissions officer system will allow students to be selected based on their potential, personality, and other qualifications.
