S.Korean Aid Groups Preparing to Send Relief to NK’s Vulnerable

Organizations providing support for North Korea are preparing to provide aid in full swing as the South Korean government allow support for the vulnerable North Koreans.

The Korea NGO Council for Cooperation with North Korea will discuss sending relief with a North Korean group in Shenyang, China on Thursday.

The North Korean organization will also hold meeting with working level staffs from about 10 different organizations. It also asked the Unification Ministry to allow contact with North Koreans in order to seek their cooperation.

In regard to the issue, an organization of five religious groups in South Korea will hold a news conference on the twelfth to urge for permission to send humanitarian relief to all North Koreans, and not just the vulnerable.

A South Korean Christian organization will also hold a news conference this week to request permission to send food to the North.
