The two Koreas will open a second round of discussions on a potential volcanic eruption at Mount Baekdu next Tuesday in North Korea’s city of Gaeseong.

The Unification Ministry said North Korea sent a message agreeing to the meeting through its contact at the Panmumjeom truce village on Thursday.

The South Korean government made the proposal on Wednesday.

At the first round of volcano experts meeting in South Korea’s city of Munsan on March 29th, the two Koreas agreed on the necessity of joint research on the matter.
