INPUT 2011 Seoul Opens Monday

The annual International Public Television Screening Conference (INPUT) kicked off in Seoul on Monday.

South Korean networks KBS and MBC are jointly hosting the four-day “INPUT 2011 Seoul” being held at the 63 Convention Center.

This year’s theme is titled "Dare the Future!" Some 400 producers from 50 nations will watch various public television programs and discuss the role of public TV in the 21st century and ways for advancement.

Eighty-seven select programs from around the world will hold official screenings including the KBS drama "The Slave Hunters" and the entertainment show "Qualifications of Men."

South Korea is the second Asian nation to host INPUT. Taiwan hosted the event in 2006.

KBS will air 13 foreign programs for viewers at home over the next four days, including the BBC drama "The Song of Lunch" starring Emma Thompson.
