2018 Member Choir to Wish for Olympic Bid

A public grand choir performance will be held simultaneously in Seoul, Pyeongchang and New York on Saturday to promote Pyeongchang's bid to host the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The two hour performance will start 7:10 p.m. Korean time.

Two-thousand-18 choir members will perform in Seoul and Pyeongchang to signify the year 2018, while 200 Korean residents will sing in New York.

In the finale, citizens will join the choir and sing the "Symphonic Fantasy Korea" and the traditional number "Arirang."

The performance will also be screened at the International Olympic Committee's technical briefing by the three candidate cities in the Olympic bid, including Pyeongchang. The two-day briefings will open Wednesday in Lausanne, Switzerland.

KBS and its global channel KBS World will air the performance live.
