NK Says Ready for Denuclearization

North Korean Foreign Minister Pak Ui-chun says his country is ready to work toward the denuclearization of the entire Korean Peninsula.

In an interview with Russia’s Itar-Tass News Agency on Tuesday, Pak said the North respects the spirit of the 2005 Joint Declaration on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula which, he noted, is based on the principle of "action for action."

Pak added that his country will exert all-out efforts to resume the stalled six-way nuclear talks. He also said that the peninsula’s denuclearization is an unchangeable process that the North needs to take and was also the desire of North Korean founder Kim Il-sung.

Meanwhile, Pak said friendly and cooperative relations between Russia and North Korea are positive and are constantly moving forward.
