NK-China Summit May Take Place in Beijing Wed.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il and Chinese President Hu Jintao will likely hold summit talks in Beijing on Wednesday.

A special train carrying Kim is expected to arrive in Beijing sometime on Wednesday morning. It departed for the Chinese capital from Nanjing at around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Security around major areas, including the Beijing Railway Station, has apparently been bolstered.

Shortly after arriving in Beijing, Kim is expected to take a rest before he meets Hu and attends a welcoming dinner. The two leaders are expected to discuss economic cooperation issues, the North’s power succession process and the six-way nuclear talks.
