Venice Biennale to Open Sunday

The Venice Biennale, the world’s largest contemporary art festival, will officially open on Sunday in Venice, Italy.

The 54th International Art Exhibition is directed by Bice Curiger, a Swiss critic and curator.

The exhibition comprises of the main event with works by artists selected by the director as well as pieces by artists representing their nations.

The Korean representative is media artist Lee Yong-baek, whose works are under the theme “The Love is gone but the Scar will heal.” He will showcase some 14 pieces, including a video performance, paintings, and sculptures.

The Venice Biennale will run until November 27th.
