International Olympic Committee President praises successful hosting of Pusan Asiad

International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogge has said the 14th Busan Asian Games was historic because of the participation of North Korea, Afghanistan and East Timor. The IOC head said the chances exist that Pyeongchang in Gangweon's Province will host the 2010 Winter Olympiad. Rogge said...presently eight cities around the world have applied for the hosting of the Olympiad. He added...three of them, including Pyeongchang are being evaluated as promising candidates by the IOC deliberation committee. According to him, an IOC delegation will soon visit Pyeongchang.
