South Korea’s top nuclear envoy Wi Sung-lac told reporters upon his arrival at an airport in Beijing Wednesday that the “three-step” approach to revive the North Korean nuclear disarmament negotiations is still valid.

In regards to North Korea’s rhetoric about cutting all dialogue with the South, Wi said that it is a subject of concern by the participants of the six-party talks.

Wi went on to say that South Korea will first discuss the matter with China when he meets his Chinese counterpart Wu Dawei on Thursday and then inform the U.S. and Russia on any developments.
