N.Korea Threatens to Disclose Voice Recordings of Secret Meeting

North Korea has threatened to release voice recordings taped at a secret meeting that it had with South Korea last month, allegedly to refute the South’s explanations on the meeting.

An official from the North’s National Defense Commission told North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency on Thursday that it will be forced to disclose the voice recordings if the three South Korean officials who attended the secret meeting continue to withhold the truth and deceive the people.

South and North Korea customarily record bilateral meetings, including those between government officials and Red Cross talks.
