Kangwon Province announced on Tuesday, that China Eastern Airlines will resume services on the Yangyang-Shanghai route twice a week starting from Dec. 4th. The Chinese airline company began servicing the international route from last April when Yangyang International Airport was opened. However it canceled it in July due to low load factors and the Chinese government's ban on the operation of chartered airplanes. Gangwon Province plans to link the new route to the existing Shanghai-Hong Kong route in order to attract more Chinese tourists, particularly from Hong Kong, to its ski resorts in winter.
