The Korea International Broadcast Audio and Lighting Equipment Show or KOBA opened at the COEX exhibition center in Seoul Tuesday.

Under the theme, "To the New Media, Beyond Digital!", the 21st KOBA 2011 will run for four days through Friday.

Some 600 companies from 33 nations including Sony and Canon will showcase their latest broadcasting, audio and lighting equipment. The participants also include South Korea's four terrestrial broadcasters KBS, MBC, SBS and EBS.

A joint booth set up by Korean broadcast equipment manufacturers will feature domestic products making a name on the world stage. Live-broadcast demonstrations using 3-D cameras will also be held.
