The number of tech start-up enterprises in the country has dropped following a nearly 15 month period of growth.

According to the Korea Venture Business Association, there are over 26-thousand-500 venture businesses in the country. There were 430 more in late April.

The number of firms grew steadily from February last year to this April, but the figure dropped by 280 just last month.

An official of the Venture Business Association attributed the loss to reduced industry expectations on economic prospects.
