A North Korean delegate said that North Korea has defined agriculture as the lifeline with which to resolve problems in maintaining the livelihood of the public and is focusing all national efforts on it.

The North’s state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported Monday that the North Korean representative made the announcement at the 37th session of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Conference on June 29th in Rome, Italy.

The delegate reportedly stated that North Korea would strengthen its collaboration with international organizations and with nations following its foreign policy ideals of autonomy, peace, and friendship.
