The Korean Council for University Education says that 237-thousand or 62 percent of students will be selected through early admissions programs for the 2012 academic year.

Universities will respectively conduct their early admissions process from August through early December.

Most of the application review for early admissions will be conducted numerically based upon applicant's academic performances. However, about 16 percent of the early admission quota will be filled by admission officers' reviewing of student applicants based on multiple aspects, including high school grades and extra curricular activities.
