A majority of elementary, middle and high schools in Seoul will begin summer break this weekend.

Summer vacation starts July 18th at 80 percent of elementary schools nationwide. Two schools have already let out this summer due to construction and other reasons.

The remaining schools will go on vacation from July 21st at the latest.

The summer break period for elementary schools is an average 42 days this year and most schools will begin classes around August 29th.

Vacation will start for middle and high schools as early as July 14th and between the 16th and 20th for most schools.
