S. Korea Plans to Retrieve Cultural Assets from Overseas

The government is devising a comprehensive plan to retrieve Korean cultural artifacts that are now in other countries.

The Cultural Heritage Administration plans to retrieve artifacts that have been stolen from South Korea. Artifacts that are legally in other countries will be used for cultural exchange and the promotion of Korean culture in those nations.

The agency also plans to invite domestic and overseas experts next week to hold an international forum and debate on the repatriation of Korean artifacts.
