A North Korean foreign ministry official says that North Korea will announce its stance on Korean Peninsula issues on Saturday.

The North Korean official, who asked not to be named, told South Korean reporters at the ASEAN Regional Forum in Bali, Indonesia that the North will designate a spokesman to address Korean Peninsula issues on Saturday.

The official also touched on the possibility of a foreign ministerial meeting between the two Koreas, saying that the South will be notified on Saturday after the North Korean delegation's schedule is coordinated.

Another North Korean official said the likelihood of talks being held by both nations would be revealed soon.
