Catholic Aid Group Delivers Flour to NK

A South Korean Catholic aid group has delivered one-hundred tons of flour to North Korea via a cross-border overland route.

The flour arrived in the North on Thursday and will be taken to a hospital and a nursery in Gangnam County in North Hwanghae Province.

The aid organization “Nanum International” will send its officials to the region next month to monitor the distribution of the flour.

The aid was purchased with donations made during a Catholic service that was held on July 17th at the Imjingak Pavilion by the Committee for the Reconciliation of the Korean People under the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Korea.

On Tuesday, the committee delivered three-hundred tons of flour to the North.
