N.Korea Condemns Japanese Lawmakers

North Korea has condemned Japanese lawmakers who arrived in South Korea with the intent to visit Ulleung Island located in the East Sea.

The Rodong Sinmun, a daily for the North’s ruling Workers’ Party, reported on Monday that the Korean people will never accept Japan’s move to seek to plunder the Dokdo islets, which it said was sacred territory of Korea. It also stated that Korea will get compensation for Japan’s past and current crimes.

Meanwhile, the North Korean online portal “uriminzokkiri.com” strongly criticized the Japanese lawmakers’ attempt to visit the island. The site introduced the history and the origin of the Dokdo islets to denounce Japan’s latest provocative action to lay claim to the territory.
