The Korea National Tourism Organization said Thursday, that overseas tourists rose 5.2 percent from a year earlier to 1.42 million in the third quarter of this year. A KNTO official said the local tourism industry shrank after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the U.S. soil last year but the June's World Cup brought lost tourists back to Korea afterward.
