Anti-Disaster Manual to be Drafted for Hahoe Village

Cultural property experts from home and abroad will draft an anti-disaster manual for Hahoe Village in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province.

The Cultural Heritage Administration in Seoul says it will hold an international workshop from Monday through next Sunday in the village, which was designated a world cultural heritage site by UNESCO last year.

The comprehensive manual for residents of the village will include details of cultural property management under normal conditions, response measures during a disaster and measures on how to restore damage.

The workshop will be jointly hosted by the International Center for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property.
