CIA Estimates NK Life Expectancy at 68.9 Yrs

The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency estimates the life expectancy of an average North Korean at 68-point-nine years old.

Voice of America cited CIA findings expecting a North Korean female to live 72-point-nine years and a North Korean male to live 65 years to rank 149th among 222 countries worldwide.

The North Korean life expectancy was an average 64-point-one years last year, meaning the figure grew by more than four years in a one-year period. The CIA did not provide an explanation.

The agency also estimated the North's population at 24-point-four million as of last month.
