Education Offices to Hire High School Graduates

Starting in the second half of this year, the nation’s 16 city and provincial education offices will hire graduates of special vocational high schools for more than 50 percent of their openings at technical posts.

National universities, training institutes, science museums, and national special schools will also follow the same measure, while national university hospitals and the Korea Teachers’ Credit Union set the target at more than ten percent.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said on Wednesday that with the measures, the government plans to hire 388 high school graduates, or 18 percent of the two-thousand-187 new employees to be hired by education offices or national schools from the second half of the year through the end of next year.
