Gov't Takes Diplomatic Measures on S. Korean Rights at Geumgang

The South Korean government has taken diplomatic measures against North Korea requesting foreign nations to refrain from traveling to the North's Mount Geumgang resort or investing there.

A Unification Ministry official said Thursday that South Korea's foreign missions are explaining to their host nations the injustice of North Korea’s unilateral disposal of South Korean assets at the mountain resort.

South Korea’s government is believed to be delivering its stance through face-to-face explanations at its ministries.

The relevant nations subject to diplomatic action will likely include China, the U.S. and Japan whose citizens have higher chances of taking tours to the Mount Geumgang resort or investing there.
