Some international Web sites are using the terms “East Sea” and “Sea of Japan” together to describe waters between South Korea and Japan.

The Northeast Asia History Foundation said that a naval history Web site has added the term “East Sea” to describe the waters.

It said that a U.S. cruise tour company also describes the waters by both names, and a Dutch tourism Web site is also planning to do so.
