Gov't to Select 500 Teachers to Grow Master Teachers Program

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology says it will hire 500 people known as "master teachers" this year who will solely serve in teaching roles without the possibility to advance into administrative positions.

The hiring decision comes as the government will officially launch the master teacher programs next year to accommodate the growing demand of educators.

Master teachers will not only teach their classes but also aid their fellow teacher's classes, thus the program is expected to lessen the workload on pre-existing teachers.

The education ministry plans to select around two-thousand master teachers next year and ultimately assign one master teacher to all schools.
