S.Korean NGO Council Plans Visit to N.Korea

The Korea NGO Council for Cooperation with North Korea said it plans to deliver relief supplies worth some four-hundred-million won to the North.

The council plans to leave on the 30th and deliver two-hundred-50 tons of wheat flour and medication worth some two-hundred-million won to Gangnam, North Hwanghae Province.

In addition to chief Park Hyun-seok, some 15 members from the council will be visiting Gaeseong to deliver the supplies.

The council said it would monitor how the items are allocated by passing through Pyongyang from October twelfth to the 15th to visit Gangnam. It said it also plans to provide humanitarian assistance to areas in North Korea’s territory of Kangwon Province which has been hit by heavy rains and flooding.
